In this 90-minute session, communications expert and professional storyteller Ashley Foley will walk you through simple yet powerful tools to uncover and share your business story in a way that feels clear, authentic, and impactful.
In this workshop, we’ll explore:
- How to find and frame your brand story using the 5 Whys method
- Why your lived experience and values are your brand
- How to adapt your story for social posts, your website, elevator pitches & media
- How to share your story in a way that supports sales—without sounding “salesy”
You’ll also get Ashley’s exclusive Story to Platform Cheat Sheet, a simple toolkit to start applying your story across platforms right away.
By the end of this workshop, you’ll have more confidence in your story and practical ways to use it in your everyday business communication.

Ashley Foley is the founder of Foley Communications & Consulting, where she helps businesses uncover and share their stories to build trust, visibility, and impact. With over 15 years of experience as a journalist, communications strategist, and media relations expert, Ashley has supported entrepreneurs, non-profits, and organizations across Canada. Her signature storytelling programs, Local Legacy and Press Connect, are rooted in community, clarity, and authenticity.

The WE-CAN Project is led by Queen’s University with a mission to inspire and empower existing and aspiring women entrepreneurs by providing them with tools, resources, expert mentors, networks and community building to expand existing businesses and to launch new ventures.
