Please join us for a gathering held over 3 days in honour of Indigenous Word Warriors. For more information please see Honouring the Word Warriors: Extending the Legacy of Indigenous Literary Creators - Weekend Gathering for the event on Saturday-Sunday.

This event acknowledges the responsibility of carrying forward the legacies of our literary forebears in order to inform and strengthen contemporary artistic innovations. Come together with Nicola Campbell, Liz Howard, Conor Kerr, Emily Riddle, and Joshua Whitehead to celebrate a formative era in literary creation ushered in by literary creators including our six guests of honour: Jeannette Armstrong, Marilyn Dumont, Louise Halfe, Tomson Highway, Armand Garnet Ruffo, and Drew Hayden Taylor.

FREE ADMISSION. No registration required. Free parking available on site.

Doors open at 6 pm; reception and book sales to follow.

Join us for readings by 11 award-winning Indigenous writers.

Books authored by the readers will be available for purchase on-site through local bookstore Novel Idea.
